StS has highly qualified professionals that provide a broad range of services within surface treatment, corrosion prevention and passive fire protection. StS is uncompromising when it comes to execution and quality assurance, as this extends the protective lifetime and reduces our customer’s total costs.

In pretreatment, StS offers conventional and dust-free sandblasting, as well as ultra high pressure jet-water washing (UHP – 2000 bars). StS has a solid reputation for corrosion protection of onshore and offshore constructions.

Another UHP service is cold-cutting of steel and other metals, which is very useful where conventional, hot cutting cannot be used due to safety reasons. StS also uses UHP for flushing and cleaning pipes, and similar operations.

An optimal cost level
StS carries out surface protection efficiently and on competitive terms. We offer a broad range of maintenance services as well as for new constructions. For complex assignments that entail many different operations, we mobilise so-called "superteams" that have an integrated, multidisciplinary approach. Our own experts do all evaluation reports and engineering related to related to surface protection. The project groups have extensive experience in designing maintenance programmes that have an optimal cost.

For our customers, it is also an advantage that StS is Norway’s largest and most experienced provider of scaffolding services. When needed, we offer tarpaulin protection, work tents or habitats that provide safe, shielded working conditions – so that progress is undeterred by weather conditions. StS has extensive experience using industrial rope access techniques that reduce costs and save considerable time.

We provide passive fire protection with epoxy systems as well as cement-based products. StS is certified by the leading manufacturers. A good example of complex assignments handled by StS, is our work at offshore oil platforms. We are responsible for corrosion protection and passive fire protection at many oil platforms and onshore facilities. StS is renowned for its ability to mobilise precisely the professional teams required by our customers – even on very short notice.
